Beyond WhoDat
Throughout history, and long before the NFL came into the world, the early mathematicians frequently quarreled over the values of such things as pie. Pies were generally simple things, usually filled with over-ripened apples, peaches, and kumquats. At any rate, pie was eventually simplified to pi, which was shortly thereafter determined to be ‘square’. Although pies remained in the round, the new formula, “pi are square” was born, giving rise to the shorthand version (which unfortunately does not appear on the standard computer keyboard). Such a shame, as PiR2 just isn’t as cool as that little thingy that looks like a bridge, sort of, with a tiny elevated ‘2’ at the end. Time passed….
And the great seas parted. It was the time of Aristotle, the Greek guy. According to Wikipedia, he was a Greek philosopher, a student of Plato, and the teacher of a guy named Alexander, who later came to be known as ‘The Great’. Of course, one can only allow a limited amount of credence to Wikipedia; witness the ridiculous stories of the origin of WhoDat! Which takes us to our main point. Finally.
The main point is WhoDat. Now, WhoDat was born in 1983 in a little recording studio on Bienville St. But inasmuch as WhoDat was indeed the original, it was only celebrated in those early years when the Saints d’ Orleans were found to be beyond 8 and 8.
